Assistant chef

The chef will prepare two meals per day, either breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner. Food and beverages are purchased by the chef and paid for by guests at-cost along with a $20 transportation fee. The staff takes Sundays and official Mexican holidays off. The villa provides full service on December 25 and January 1 (unless those dates fall on a Sunday) at no cost to the guests. Gratuities not included.

Double or Triple Villa Rental

For a 14 or 22 bedroom rental, you can book two seven-bedroom villas and/or an eight-bedroom villa. In that case, the chefs and assistant chefs from each villa will team up to do all the food preparation in one kitchen, so everyone can eat together.

If you book two or more villas, you will have at your service 1-3 chefs, 1-3 assistants to the chef, 1-3 housekeepers, 1-3 housemen, and 1-3 laundry ladies.

The housekeeper cleans the bedrooms and the common interior areas. Laundry service (even personal laundry) is included. Towels are changed daily, and bed linens are changed every three days. There is a houseman who cleans the pool, the patios, the beachfront of your villa, and all the exterior areas. The houseman also carries your luggage and takes care of other small chores.

The rental of the villa includes the charges of a staff of five. It covers a plethora of services, such as the shopping for, and preparation, serving and cleaning up of any two meals per day -  breakfast/lunch, breakfast/dinner or lunch/dinner – take your pick.

Once a day, usually at 5:00 pm, the chef will give all the grocery bills and any change back to the guests and the guests in turn, give the chef the grocery money and the menu in advance for the next day.

You also pay $15 per day for the taxi from the grocery store to the villa. The villa does not profit from food and beverages. You will only pay the grocery store bill, plus the transportation charges.

For groceries, you can expect a bill of approximately $20 per adult per day. The cost of groceries for children can be lesser than that, depending on how much they eat. If they eat half as much as an adult, the cost will be half as much.

If you wish to order exotic food such as lobster, giant shrimp, New Zealand lamb or the best quality imported US beef, the cost per each of those meals can go up by $5 per person. The $20 grocery bill would cover the two meals the chef will prepare as part of your rental, and the ingredients for a third meal, like breakfast that you may want to put together yourself. The $20 should be enough for a moderate amount of alcohol and beer (48 beer, two bottles of liquor and 4 bottles of table wine) and the chef can pick that up while shopping. If you need large quantities of liquor, you may purchase this yourself at a store in town.

Airport round-trip shuttle service and local transportation can be arranged by our staff. We do not charge for arranging your transportation, but the transportation charges have to be paid by you, in addition to the rental.
